Signs of Fire Ant Problem

• You may see flattened dome-shaped mounds of loose soil in your lawn, around dead logs and trees, or under cement slabs and sidewalks.  This is especially true after heavy rains.

• Even if you accidentally disturb a mound, you may see many reddish-brown worker ants come out angrily from beneath the mound and attack humans and animals standing near the mound, first grabbing hold of the victim and then injecting a venom called Solenopsin into the skin.
